Student Handbook

Rules & Regulations

Students are expected to maintain discipline, professionalism, punctuality, and ethical conduct throughout their academic journey.

General Rules

Communication

The students must communicate only in English.

Punctuality

Students must be punctual in assembly, classes and clinical posting.

Other Courses

Students is not allowed to join any other course (regular/ correspondence/ online) during the period of course. If found guilty, that student’s engagement may be terminated and she will be ceased to be a nursing student.

ID Card & Nameplate

Identity card & nameplate is a must for every student. She may be asked to show the same on-demand as and when required. It is mandatory to carry the ID card during the clinical training inside and outside the campus. If ID card is lost, information should be given to the college. A new ID Card would be issued on payment of the applicable fee.

Uniform & Grooming

The uniform code of the college should be followed by all students
Full college uniform should be worn neatly and correctly both in the college and clinical area.
When a situation arises concerning a student’s uniform, written requests for the temporary wearing of non-regular items must be referred to the Principal.
Student’s hair must be kept clean and tied up in with a clip at all times. The hair should not be touching the collar and the hair should be off the face.
Students should maintain proper personal hygiene i.e., proper grooming, nails cut short, no nail paints, no jewelry like chains, and rings.

Leave Rules

Attendance, permission and leave procedures

Leave will not be granted to any student until and unless there is a genuine emergency
If parents/guardians know that their ward is going to be absent for any reason, they must contact the Warden/ Class Coordinator via registered phone number or leave a message with the student’s name, batch, and contact number, and reason for the absence
On the day of return after an absence, the student must bring an application signed by her parents/ guardian, stating the reason for the absence and it should be submitted to the Class coordinator
In case of a long sickness, an application must be sent to the school authority with appropriate details written. Parents must not wait to send this intimation until the student recovers.
Students must produce a medical fitness certificate for absence on account of illness and sick leaves have to be compensated for attendance completion
Absence for any other reason would be permitted only with prior permission from the class teacher and approval by the college authority
Leaving the college premises without the proper permission is strictly not allowed. In case the student is found missing from the class, parents will be noticed and disciplinary action will be taken against the student. The college will no longer be responsible for her act as well her safety.
Students must inform the warden if their leave/ night pass is canceled and they are staying back in the hostel and the same should be communicated to the parents/ guardian by the class coordinator / warden.

Mobile Phone Rules

Students are not allowed to carry mobile phones in the classrooms, clinical area, community and other educational visits
Any students found carrying a mobile phone, the phone will be confiscated and a heavy penalty will be levied.

Attendance & Compensation

Students who have attendance shortage & compensation duties of more than 10 days will not be allowed to proceed with the vacation.
Excuses / request calls from parents or students to school authority will not be entertained.

Important Notice

Students are expected to maintain professional conduct, discipline, and respect the rules of the institution at all times.
